2. Scope of this notice
This notice covers the public FARI, Zardin and KESTREL marketing pages. It does not govern personal data processed inside a customer workspace on a customer's instructions. Those activities are governed by the relevant customer agreement, data processing terms and product privacy notice.
The website is directed to organisations and business professionals. It is not directed to children under 16, and the public Zardin page does not collect farmer or beneficiary records.
3. Personal data we collect
Information you provide
When you email us, we may receive your name, business contact details, organisation, role, message, meeting preferences and any information you choose to include. The website currently uses email links rather than a web contact form.
Website delivery and security data
Our hosting and security providers may process IP address, request time, requested URL, browser headers, network and device information, and security events to deliver the site, detect abuse and maintain availability.
Optional analytics data
Only after you allow analytics, Google Analytics may process a first-party client identifier, page and session activity, approximate geolocation, and browser or device information. We do not ask Google Analytics to use advertising storage or advertising personalisation through this implementation.

Providing information by email is voluntary, but we may be unable to answer an enquiry without sufficient contact and contextual information. Consent to analytics is never a condition of using the website or contacting us.
5. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
We use Google Tag Manager container GTM-MQLGRP2Q to manage website tags and consent signals. Before the container loads, advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation and analytics storage are set to denied. The container request may include ordinary website delivery information such as IP address and browser headers.
Google Analytics measurement ID G-Z3E5HDJW8B is configured to begin measurement only after you grant analytics permission. When allowed, Google Analytics can store a first-party _ga identifier and collect session statistics, approximate geolocation, browser and device information, and enabled measurement events. If you reject analytics, analytics storage remains denied and our configuration does not activate consented Analytics measurement.
You can withdraw permission at any time using . Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.
7. Transfers outside Mauritius
Cloud infrastructure, analytics and email services may process information outside Mauritius or route it through international infrastructure. Before using such providers, FARI assesses the purpose, information involved, provider terms and available contractual, organisational and technical safeguards.
Safeguards may include contractual data protection obligations, restricted access, encryption in transit, minimisation, provider security controls and transfer documentation. Where the Data Protection Act 2017 requires authorisation or proof of suitable safeguards, FARI will complete that process before the relevant transfer. You may contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
8. How long we keep information
- Cookie preference records stored in your browser: up to 12 months, unless you change the choice or the policy version changes.
- Google Analytics first-party identifiers: up to 24 months unless deleted earlier through your browser or consent is withdrawn.
- Google Analytics user-level and event-level records: configured for no more than 14 months.
- General business enquiries: normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction.
- Security records: normally up to 90 days, unless required longer to investigate an incident or legal claim.
- Contractual, accounting or legal records: for the period required by applicable law or reasonably necessary for a legal claim.
We periodically review retention and securely delete or anonymise information when its purpose has ended, subject to lawful recordkeeping requirements.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, completion of incomplete information, restriction, erasure, or information about recipients and international transfers. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and may withdraw consent at any time.
You may object to direct marketing at any time. If you do, we will stop using your personal data for that purpose.
We may request proportionate information to confirm identity before acting on a request. We will not make a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects about website visitors solely through automated processing.
10. Security
FARI applies measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss and destruction. Measures include HTTPS, access restriction, provider review, secure account controls, data minimisation, software maintenance and incident procedures. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Security concerns can be reported under our responsible disclosure policy.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Mauritius Data Protection Commissioner. The Data Protection Office can be contacted through dataprotection.govmu.org.
We may update this notice when our website, providers or legal obligations change. Material changes will be shown through an updated date and, where appropriate, a renewed consent request.
